Ink and Stage is dedicated to helping artists develop and improve their writing and performing.
Who You Are. Talented. Smart. No time for b.s.. Not looking for a guru. Want direct, clear tips that will pay off soon if not immediately. You’re a performer (singer, musician, dancer, stand up comedian, spoken word artist or anything in-between) and some of you write your own material. Serious about improving your work. You’re looking for artists who respect your work. Willing to ask for help.
Who I Am. Shared stages with Lily Tomlin, Alix Olson, StaceyAnn Chin, Bitch and others at venues across the country over 20+ year career. Trained at SUNY Purchase and Mason Gross School of the Arts. Taught at Rutgers, Drew, Maggie Flanigan Acting Studio, American Academy of Dramatic Arts. Direct, respectful and do not deal in games or b.s.. Invested in you being the best artist you can be.
What this Site is Not About. Complaining about not getting work, a blow-up-quick tip, trying to compete with other artists, ego, games.
What Ink and Stage is About. Growth. Learning. Development. Feeling great about our work. Helping each other out. Getting out of old habits that don’t work. Finishing work. Embracing the process.
